Srinagar Police have successfully arrested a female drug peddler and seized a significant amount of contraband from her possession. The arrest took place at a checkpoint set up by a police party from the Shaltang police station at Panzinara.
Authorities reported that while conducting routine checks, the police team noticed a lady attempting to flee the area. The alert officers promptly apprehended her. Upon searching her, they recovered 1 kilogram 940 grams of a cannabis-like substance from her possession.
The arrested individual has been identified as Jabeena Bano, wife of Bashir Ahmed Malik, and a resident of Panzinara, Srinagar.
A case has been registered against Jabeena Bano under FIR No. 27/2025, and an investigation has been initiated to gather further details and explore any other individuals involved in this drug trafficking operation.
