Duo accused of using stolen card eight times in Duplin County

Two men are in custody at the Duplin County Jail after being charged in connection to a stolen bank card that was used eight times, totaling approximately $1,500 in fraudulent purchases.

According to authorities, the victim reported her card stolen and later discovered multiple unauthorized transactions. An investigation identified Spencer Henderson and James Hill as the individuals responsible for the purchases.

Spencer Henderson faces the following charges:

Eight counts of obtaining property by false pretenses

Possession of stolen property

Financial card fraud

Identity theft

Felony conspiracy

Two counts of second-degree trespassing

James Hill has been charged with:

Eight counts of obtaining property by false pretenses

Financial card fraud

Felony conspiracy

Both men are currently held at the Duplin County Jail without bond due to pending charges at the time of arrest, authorities stated.
