On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Delhi Police arrested a suspect in connection with the chain snatching incident involving Congress Lok Sabha MP from Mayiladuthurai, R. Sudha.
The accused, identified as Sonu alias Sohan Rawat, was apprehended from the Harkesh Nagar area in Okhla. According to a senior officer, the breakthrough came when Rawat was spotted riding a two-wheeler in the Moti Bagh area shortly after committing the alleged crime.
Police tracked his movements, leading to his arrest and the recovery of key evidence. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
