Sohail Sheikh Held in Indore for Supplying MD Drugs

12g MD worth Rs1.4 lakh seized near Bhusa Mandi

A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly supplying MD drugs in the Kanadia area of Indore, with synthetic narcotics valued at Rs1.4 lakh seized from his possession.

According to Khajrana police station in-charge Manoj Sendhav, the accused, identified as Sohail Sheikh, a resident of Iqbal Colony near Badwali Chowki, was apprehended near Bhusa Mandi on Thursday following a tip-off.

Upon searching him, officers recovered 12 grams of MD, a banned synthetic drug commonly abused for recreational purposes. The seized quantity is estimated to be worth around Rs1.4 lakh in the illegal drug market.

Police have booked Sohail under Section 8/22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and a deeper investigation is currently underway to trace the supply chain and other associates involved in the drug distribution network.
