Six Held for Heroin Use in Shahkot, Including Rajat and Others

In a crackdown on narcotics abuse, Shahkot police have arrested six individuals on charges of heroin consumption. The accused were apprehended during two separate operations and were found in possession of items commonly used to consume contraband substances.

In the first case, police arrested:

Rajat of Mohalla Rajputan

Balveer Ram of Gohir village

Balwindar Singh of Mallian Khurd village

In the second incident, the police took into custody:

Paramjit,

Raj Kumar,

Harpreet

During the arrests, police seized plastic pipes, silver papers, and lighters, typically used to consume heroin. All six individuals have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Authorities stated that further investigation is underway to determine the source of the contraband and whether the accused are connected to larger drug networks in the region.
