LANCASTER, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Six people were arrested Tuesday following a series of undercover drug purchases by Lancaster County law enforcement.
According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, a narcotics search warrant was executed at a residence located in the 1400 block of Crestfield Drive, situated on the north side of Lancaster. Investigators with the Multijurisdictional Narcotics Task Force had previously conducted two controlled buys of suspected methamphetamine from 54-year-old Scott Veld Duncan, who resided at the home.
Early on Tuesday morning, Task Force investigators, along with members of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, served the search warrant. Inside the home, officers detained Duncan, his daughter Samantha Duncan, 33; Brittney Carnevale, 33; and James Walters, 43. Investigators reported seizing:
Suspected fentanyl
Methamphetamine
Gabapentin
Trazodone
Marijuana
A digital scale
Additionally, two individuals, Jessica Sims, 35, and George Twitty II, 43, were found in a camper on the property and were also arrested.
The house is located a short distance from the University of South Carolina-Lancaster campus, bringing additional charges for proximity to a school.
“This address has been familiar to us for some time, and we’ve been receiving complaints about drug activity here,” said Sheriff Barry Faile. “Our Task Force investigators put together a successful operation to make buys from Scott Duncan and gather enough evidence for a search warrant. We were surprised by the number of people found on the property when the drugs were located, and we’re pleased with the charges brought against those involved.”
All six suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster County Detention Center. The charges they face are as follows:

Two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine
Two counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance in Proximity to a School
Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
Possession of Gabapentin without a Prescription
Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
Bond set at $87,500 (currently incarcerated)
Samantha Duncan
Possession of More than 2 Grains of Fentanyl
Bond set at $2,500; also served with a General Sessions bench warrant for a prior shoplifting charge (currently incarcerated)
Brittney Carnevale
Possession of Methamphetamine
Released on a $2,000 bond
Jessica Sims
Possession of Tramadol Hydrochloride (Trazodone)
Released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond
George Twitty II
Possession of Methamphetamine
Bond set at $3,000; also held on a detainer from Rock Hill Police Department for a driving offense
James Walters
Two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Contraband (suspected methamphetamine found during booking)
Bond set at $26,000; has a detainer from Union County, North Carolina, for a probation violation (currently incarcerated)
The investigation continues, and additional charges may be forthcoming as law enforcement pursues further leads.
