The Crime Branch has apprehended six individuals, including a woman, in connection with a burglary reported on March 19 at the residence of Rajiv Kumar, a resident of Sector 4. The investigation followed Kumar’s complaint after returning from a trip to Shimla with his family, only to discover that their house had been broken into, and valuables had been stolen.
Kumar reported that between March 16 and March 18, while the family was away, the burglars broke the main door lock and ransacked their almirah, stealing jewellery and other valuables.
Following an investigation, the police arrested three suspects near Shakti Bhawan, Sector-7 on March 23. The arrested individuals were identified as Rupinder Arora from Sector-4, Panchkula, Nadeem from Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, and Deep Inder Singh from Mohali. Police recovered Rs22,000 from Arora, Rs20,000 from Nadeem, and Rs25,000 from Deep Inder Singh.
Further investigation led to the arrest of three additional suspects from Greater Noida. These individuals were identified as Mohit from Gautam Budh Nagar, Noida, Amit from Bulandshahr, and Ved Parkash from Greater Noida.
The police are continuing their investigation into the case as they work to recover more stolen items and determine the full extent of the theft.
