A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has taken former Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer G. Sathiyamoorthy into custody over the counterfeit drug case in Puducherry.
According to police sources, Sathiyamoorthy was arrested in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and brought to Puducherry for further questioning. The SIT had previously detained Raja, also known as Valliappan—considered the mastermind behind the production and distribution of counterfeit medicines—along with 19 others implicated in the case.
