CAMP HILL, Pa. — Silvia Beraun Villanueva, 28, was arrested in connection with a wallet theft that occurred earlier this year.

According to the Lower Allen Township Police Department, Villanueva faces charges of theft by unlawful taking and access device fraud.

Police responded to a report from Walmart on Hartzdale Drive after a victim noticed their wallet was missing on February 26, 2024. The victim discovered the theft when attempting to pay and showed bank alerts documenting unauthorized charges beginning around 1:30 p.m.

The total fraudulent charges on the victim’s bank account amounted to $7,950, and $500 in gift cards were stolen from the wallet as well.

Investigators identified Villanueva as the suspect by reviewing security footage and tracing the registration plate of her vehicle.
