HATTIESBURG, Miss. – A Hattiesburg man is in custody after being linked to a series of auto burglaries in the city.
The Hattiesburg Police Department confirmed the arrest of Sidney Ray Bonner, also known as “Baby Diddy,” earlier this week. The 33-year-old was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Forrest County Jail.
Bonner is facing nine counts of auto burglary related to a string of break-ins that occurred over the past two weeks. His bond has been set at $7,000 for each count, totaling $63,000.
In addition, Bonner had a prior bond for weapons possession by a felon revoked, according to police.
The Hattiesburg Police Department said the investigation is ongoing, and more charges may be filed as new information becomes available.
