Siddalingu, Raghu Arrested in Madikeri House Theft Case

Police Recover Cash and Gold Worth Rs8.5 Lakh

Madikeri Police have arrested two men in connection with a house theft reported from Chembu village and recovered cash and gold worth Rs8.5 lakh.

The accused have been identified as Siddalingu N. (28) and Raghu N. (26), both residents of Siddapur village in Bhadravati taluk, Shivamogga district.

According to police, the theft occurred on November 5 at the residence of Veerappa P. in Chembu village. The house was locked at the time of the incident. The burglars allegedly broke open the cupboard and stole Rs15,000 in cash and 120 grams of gold ornaments before fleeing the scene.

Following the complaint, Madikeri Rural Police registered a case and launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of the accused. During interrogation, police recovered Rs8.5 lakh in cash and the stolen gold jewellery from their possession.

Both accused have been produced before the court, and further investigation is underway.
