The Baselisahi police in Puri arrested a known drug peddler, Sibuna Naik (26), from Mishra Nolia Sahi, near the water tank in Harijana Basti. The arrest was made during a targeted operation against narcotics in the area.
Police seized 11.3 grams of brown sugar, a two-wheeler, and a mobile phone from Naik’s possession. He was produced in court on Saturday following the arrest.
According to police sources, Naik had been under surveillance due to his suspected involvement in drug trafficking in and around the Puri area.
