Shweta Khan, also known as Fultusi, the main accused in the Howrah sex racket case, has now been charged with fraud, after police discovered multiple identity documents in her possession — including Aadhaar, PAN, and EPIC cards.
According to investigators, Khan allegedly used these fraudulent IDs to open accounts in multiple banks, potentially for laundering money linked to the racket.
Khan was produced before the Howrah Chief Judicial Magistrate’s bench on Saturday, which extended her police custody by five days.
Khan and her son Aryan Khan were arrested last month, following a complaint by a 22-year-old woman from Sodepur, who alleged that she was held captive and tortured by the duo.
Police revealed that the two operated a sex racket disguised as an event management company, named Ishara Productions, from a rented flat in Bankra, Howrah. Women were coerced into pornography and sex work, and those who refused were allegedly subjected to torture.
