THEODORE, Ala. — A narcotics raid conducted Tuesday in Theodore led to the arrest of Shunson Shamaine Shears, 39, and the recovery of a large quantity of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
Authorities say Shears was suspected of selling drugs from his residence at 5670 King Street, prompting the MCSO Narcotics and Vice Unit to serve a search warrant.
During the operation, deputies reportedly discovered significant amounts of marijuana, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, synthetic marijuana, fentanyl-laced M30 pills, and various prescription drugs. Officers also recovered two firearms, drug paraphernalia, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Shears was taken into custody and booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail. Jail records show he was released on Monday after posting a $176,500 bond.
He is facing multiple charges, including:
Trafficking cocaine
Trafficking marijuana
Trafficking methamphetamine
Illegal possession of prescription drugs
Possession of a controlled substance
Possession with intent to distribute
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Shears is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
