Two men accused in the murder of a property dealer in Paschim Vihar were arrested late Sunday night at Lucknow airport, police sources confirmed. The suspects, identified as Shubham and Shokeen Khan, have been taken into custody as Delhi Police prepare to seek their custody. Meanwhile, a manhunt is underway for other individuals involved in the case.
The murder occurred on April 11, and investigations revealed that four shooters, all from Haryana, were hired by gangster Kapil Sangwan to carry out the killing. The accused rented a Swift car from Karol Bagh a day before the murder and checked into Hotel Apple Tree in Dwarka using fake documents.
According to police, the group left the hotel early on the morning of the murder, arriving at Paschim Vihar by 7 am. They awaited the targeted brothers, knowing the victim usually drove a Fortuner SUV. Once the victim emerged, the shooters ambushed and fatally shot him.
Police reports detail that Shokeen Khan was driving the Swift used in the attack, with Suraj seated behind him. Taranjeet occupied the front passenger seat, and Shubham sat behind him.
In a recent social media post, Kapil Sangwan alleged that the victim had links with rival gangster Mahal, suggesting the shooting was gang-related.
