Shoundrika Dennis, Others Arrested for Juban Crossing Theft

Five face charges after $2,750 in merchandise stolen

DENHAM SPRINGS — Five people were arrested by Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies Friday for allegedly stealing approximately $2,750 in merchandise from multiple stores at Juban Crossing.

Sheriff Jason Ard said deputies initially noticed individuals littering from a car in the parking lot. During the encounter, deputies observed the suspects attempting to conceal large amounts of merchandise from nearby stores.

“Further investigation revealed the individuals had been on a theft spree targeting numerous retail outlets in Juban Crossing—and possibly other jurisdictions,” Ard said.

Deputies recovered stolen items including:

$1,100 from Ulta

$800 from Carter’s

$400 from Academy

$220 from Five Below

$160 from Rouses

$70 from Old Navy

The sheriff stated that the suspects allegedly stole merchandise by hiding items on their persons, in large purses, or by simply walking out with them.

The five arrested were:

42-year-old Shoundrika Dennis, Baton Rouge

39-year-old Auquintea Lanus, Baton Rouge

20-year-old Tkiya Dennis, Baton Rouge

24-year-old Blake Davis, Prairieville

20-year-old Antailynn Lanus, Denham Springs

All five were booked on various theft-related charges.
