Shivamogga Woman Ruksar Firdos Arrested for Wedding Thefts

Over Rs18 Lakh in Gold Recovered from Shaadi Theft Cases

Shivamogga police have arrested a woman in connection with multiple theft cases targeting wedding celebrations in the city.

The accused, Ruksar Firdos (30), a resident of Sulebailu in Shivamogga, is alleged to have stolen gold jewellery worth over Rs18 lakh from four different marriage halls. Investigators said she gained access to the venues by posing as a guest at the weddings.

Authorities confirmed that the recovered jewellery was seized from Ruksar following her arrest, and she is now being held for further investigation into the series of thefts.

Police have appealed to event organizers and the public to remain vigilant about unauthorized individuals at large gatherings and weddings.
