In a significant breakthrough, the Padubidri police have arrested two inter-district bike thieves involved in the theft of a Bullet bike that occurred 20 days ago in the Padubidri market. The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Ruhaan, a resident of Soolebailu in Shivamogga district, and Tajuddin P K, also known as Taju, from Gopal in Shivamogga.

The police recovered the stolen Bullet bike, along with a Maruti Ritz car that was used during the theft. The suspects were presented in court and have been remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.

The theft took place on the night of January 21 when Parikshith Shetty, a resident of Mundkur, parked his Bullet bike in the Padubidri market before heading to work. Upon returning, he discovered the bike was missing and immediately filed a complaint at the Padubidri police station. Following an investigation, the police tracked down and apprehended the suspects in Shivamogga.

Tajuddin P K is no stranger to the authorities, with multiple criminal cases against him across various police stations in Shivamogga district, including charges of robbery, kidnapping, and vehicle theft. He also faces charges in other districts, including Hassan and Dharwad, where he has been involved in house theft and vehicle theft cases. Arrest warrants were issued for him by several police stations.

Mohammad Ruhaan also has a criminal record, including his involvement in a gold shop theft case at Jigani police station in Bengaluru. He is also accused of student kidnapping and vehicle theft in Shivamogga district, with several cases still under investigation.

The police have praised the successful operation and are continuing their efforts to investigate further connections related to the accused.
