Shimla police have arrested Rajan Dogra (28) from Gawach village and Aayush (21) from Batawada village in Kotkhai for possession of 26 grams of chitta (heroin) in Theog.
Police acted on a tip-off about persons involved in drug trade in the area. A team intercepted a car parked along Theog bypass and recovered the contraband from the vehicle.
SSP Shimla, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, confirmed that a case has been registered under sections 21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, and further investigation is ongoing.
