
OAKLAND, MD – Garrett County Sheriff Bryson Meyers has confirmed the arrest of two local residents, identified as Shiflett and Hesson, following a traffic stop that led to drug charges.
On April 24 at approximately 2 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Maryland Highway near Weber Road for traffic violations. During the stop, a Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit conducted a scan of the vehicle and gave a positive alert, prompting a more thorough search.
Following the alert and subsequent investigation, Shiflett and Hesson were taken into custody on undisclosed drug-related charges. Further details, including the specific substances or charges, have not yet been released.
