The Parappana Agarahara police arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly stealing high-end branded wristwatches worth over Rs10 lakh from a luxury watch showroom in Bengaluru.
The accused, Sheshadri Reddy, a high school dropout from Andhra Pradesh, was employed as a delivery executive at the store. He had joined the company just two weeks prior to his arrest.
Police said Reddy cleverly evaded security checks and stole the watches while leaving the showroom after work. His method involved concealing the watches on his person, bypassing the attention of security staff.
The theft came to light after discrepancies were found in inventory checks, leading to an internal probe and subsequent police complaint. Reddy was taken into custody on September 15, and an investigation is underway to determine how many items were stolen and whether he had any accomplices.
