Police arrested two individuals during a routine patrolling operation in the Nishat area and recovered narcotics and cash from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Sheikh Umar Jan and Nadeem Qadir Chopan. During the search, officers reportedly seized 15 grams of heroin along with Rs11,000 in cash.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 98/2025 at Police Station Nishat under Sections 8, 22, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Police officials said further investigation is underway to determine the source of the heroin and its intended destination. Authorities are also examining possible links to a broader drug distribution network.
