Shawn “Sco” Jones Arrested in Deadly Shooting of Teen on I-40

Authorities have arrested 20-year-old Shawn “Sco” Jones in connection with a shooting that left one teen dead and two others injured on Interstate 40 in North Little Rock. The incident occurred on December 28, 2024, when Arkansas State Police troopers responded to a report at Arkansas Children’s Hospital at 3:45 a.m.

A man had brought three injured teens to the hospital, claiming they were shot while traveling westbound on I-40 near Protho Junction. Authorities later confirmed that a 17-year-old was shot multiple times and pronounced dead, while an 18-year-old and another 17-year-old were also injured. One of the surviving teens was treated and released, while the other remains hospitalized.

Shawn Jones, who stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds, has been charged with capital murder. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather details about the shooting.
