BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A Middletown Township man, Shawn Edward Allison, 59, has been sentenced to 2½ to 5 years in state prison, followed by 12 years of consecutive probation, for crimes involving child pornography and the illegal use of digital communications.
Allison’s sentence was handed down on Friday, May 16, 2025, by Common Pleas Judge Charissa J. Liller in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas. He had pleaded guilty in January to the charges of possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility.
The investigation that led to Allison’s arrest began in August 2023, triggered by a Cybertip Report from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). The report flagged an upload of illicit material to a cloud storage server. The uploaded content included videos depicting sexual acts involving a prepubescent female and an adult male.
Authorities traced the upload to Allison, who was then charged and taken into custody.
This case underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement and digital watchdog organizations to combat online child exploitation. Prosecutors emphasized the seriousness of using communication platforms to traffic in such material and vowed continued vigilance in similar cases.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office continues to urge the public to report suspicious digital activity involving minors to NCMEC or local law enforcement.
