Elmira Woman Arrested for Burglary at Walmart in Horseheads
HORSEHEADS, N.Y. — A 41-year-old Elmira woman was arrested Tuesday after allegedly stealing from a Walmart store she had previously been banned from, according to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office.
Shavonda L. Mountain faces charges of burglary in the third degree, a class D felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. Deputies say the theft occurred at the Walmart in Horseheads, where Mountain had already been trespassed from in an earlier incident.
Mountain was taken into custody and arraigned in Horseheads Town Court before being transferred to the Chemung County Jail.
The Sheriff’s Office did not release additional details about the stolen items or the circumstances of her previous trespassing incident.
