TUOLUMNE COUNTY, Calif. — A woman has been arrested following a month-long investigation into alleged embezzlement at the Tuolumne County Association of Realtors.
The organization reported missing funds in June 2024, prompting investigators to suspect 58-year-old Shauna Love of Sonora, an executive with full access to the organization’s banking and financial accounts.
Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office detectives conducted a thorough investigation, including multiple search warrants of Love’s residence and a detailed review of several years of financial records. Evidence revealed unauthorized transactions used for personal expenses, with losses totaling several hundred thousand dollars.
Love was arrested on Tuesday and charged with 44 counts of felony embezzlement. She was booked at the Dambacher Detention Center.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
