Shaun Mullen, 39, was jailed for six years after police discovered a large quantity of drugs at his home in Billingham. Officers were initially called to reports of a disturbance on Old Road on 30 January at around 4:30 pm.
When Mullen opened the door, he appeared “nervous” and “shaking,” Cleveland Police said. Their search uncovered cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, zopiclone, and amphetamine worth £123,196.
An upstairs bedroom had been converted into a makeshift drug packaging area. Officers found multiple mobile phones, lumps of white powder, grip seal bags, a laptop, first-class stamps, and cash alongside the drugs.
Mullen, of Old Road, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A, B, and C drugs and taken into custody for questioning. He later pleaded guilty at Teesside Crown Court.
Detective Constable Rhianna Wales, from Stockton CID, said: “What started as a report of a disturbance led officers to uncover a significant quantity of drugs in a residential property. This conviction sends a clear message that drug trafficking will not be tolerated.”
