An Albertson woman, Sharon Jones, was arrested following a federal drug investigation conducted by the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The investigation concluded on November 3, 2025, revealing that Jones allegedly sold and distributed pound quantities of crystal methamphetamine in Duplin County. She faces multiple charges under 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1):
Distribution of five grams or more of methamphetamine (two counts)
Distribution of fifty grams or more of methamphetamine (two counts)
Possession with intent to distribute fifty grams or more of methamphetamine (one count)
Jones is currently incarcerated. Duplin County Sheriff Stratton Stokes acknowledged the cooperation of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina and the DEA in bringing this case to a successful conclusion.
