A mother from Alabama was arrested after abducting her three children at a bus stop in Fishersville, Virginia.
FISHERSVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Shanice Chante Davison, 35, was arrested hours after abducting her three children from a bus stop on Bobby’s Way in Fishersville. The children, ages 6, 8, and 10, were safely found and unharmed.
The abduction occurred around 7:45 a.m. on Thursday when Davison allegedly drove up to the bus stop and took the children, sparking a call to law enforcement. Shortly afterward, Virginia State Police issued an AMBER alert.
Davison, who had an estranged relationship with her children, was tracked to Alabama after a brief police chase on I-459 near Birmingham. The Alabama Highway Patrol and U.S. Marshals took Davison into custody.
The children were returned to safety, and Davison now faces charges in connection with the abduction.
