LAKE COUNTY, Ill. — Surveillance footage led police to arrest Shane L. Lones, 41, of Zion, after an armed robbery at a fast-food restaurant in Beach Park.
The robbery occurred on Thursday at approximately 7:22 p.m. at a fast-food establishment located in the 38900-block of North Lewis Road, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives reviewed surveillance videos and investigated leads, which helped them identify the vehicle used by the suspect during the crime.
Zion police arrested Lones on Friday. During searches of his vehicle and apartment, officers found clothing believed to have been worn during the robbery.
Lones faces one count of armed robbery. A judge ordered him held until his next court appearance, scheduled for Tuesday, May 27.
Authorities confirmed no injuries were reported during the incident.
