Shane Archer Arrested in Hull Vehicle Theft After Community Tips
HULL, Texas – The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Shane Austin Archer in connection with a recent vehicle theft in Hull, thanks to help from the public and rapid media coverage.
The investigation began when a vehicle was reported stolen from a residence in Hull. It was later found unoccupied by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators obtained surveillance footage from March 19, 2025, showing a male suspect driving the stolen vehicle through the Burger King drive-thru near Highway 90 and Highway 321 in Dayton. After this footage was released on Monday, April 14, the suspect was identified within an hour as 33-year-old Shane Archer.
Archer was arrested the next morning, Tuesday, April 15, at a home on County Road 450 by Liberty County investigators and narcotics units.
