Shamsher Singh Arrested with 700g Heroin in Amritsar Rural

Gharinda police seize heroin, investigation underway

Amritsar Rural Police achieved a significant breakthrough when the Gharinda police arrested Shamsher Singh, alias Shera, a resident of Gehri village under Sarai Amanat Khan police limits in Tarn Taran, with 700 grams of heroin.

During a routine patrol near the Kaccha road leading from Gharinda Colonia, police intercepted Singh and recovered the contraband along with a mobile phone from his possession.

A case has been registered under various sections of the NDPS Act at the Gharinda police station.

DSP Yadvinder Singh confirmed that investigations are ongoing to trace the accused’s forward and backward links in the drug supply chain, aiming to identify other members involved in the narcotics network.
