HATTIESBURG, Miss. – A Hattiesburg woman was arrested on Friday and charged with attempted capital murder after allegedly orchestrating a failed murder-for-hire plot.
According to Hattiesburg police, Shameka Latrece Hall, 42, attempted to hire someone to kill an acquaintance. Authorities did not disclose details about the intended target or how the plot was uncovered.
Hall was taken into custody and booked into the Forrest County Jail shortly before 3 p.m. on Friday.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the case, and additional details may emerge as proceedings move forward.
