Baramulla police conducted two separate operations on Tuesday, arresting Shakeel Ahmad Bhat and Mohammad Ramzan Gojree for alleged drug peddling.
During routine patrolling, officers from Pattan police intercepted Bhat traveling from Kakapora to Khore-Sheerabad. A search revealed 28 grams of charas-like substance in his possession, leading to his immediate arrest.
In a separate operation in Sopore town, Gojree was apprehended after officers found charas hidden inside a corn husk. Both suspects were booked under relevant sections of the law, and investigations are ongoing to uncover further links.
Police officials emphasized their commitment to curbing drug trafficking in the region and urged citizens to report suspicious activity.
