Bharuch police have arrested two men in connection with a house theft at Mona Park Society, revealing that one of them had previously trespassed into Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai bungalow, Mannat.
The theft occurred four days ago when gold and silver jewelry weighing eight tolas and cash amounting to Rs 3.90 lakh were stolen from the home of retired army officer Siraj Mehta. Investigating the case based on CCTV footage, PI R.M. Vasava of B Division Police Station launched a probe.
During the investigation, police apprehended Ram Swaroop Sukhraj Kushwaha and Minhaj Sindha, both residents of Mona Park Society. The duo admitted to the crime, and authorities recovered Rs 2.74 lakh from them.
Further inquiries revealed that a year ago, Ram Swaroop Kushwaha had entered Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai. He climbed to the third floor but was discovered by housekeeping staff and handed over to the local police.
Kushwaha, a devoted fan of Shah Rukh Khan, said he attempted the intrusion because SRK was not home. Around 2:30 AM, he climbed a tree and entered a section of the bungalow under renovation. He was spotted by staff the following morning, who alerted security via video call, leading to his arrest for trespassing.
Bharuch City DySP C.K. Patel confirmed the arrest of the two men for theft and stated that investigations are ongoing.
