In a significant breakthrough, the Aul police in Kendrapara district arrested seven members of a dacoity gang on Saturday in connection with a robbery at Prabhakar Pradhan’s residence in Angarakh village, which took place on the evening of December 4.
The police recovered stolen items, including 30 grams of gold, 240 grams of silver, Rs46,000 in cash, and six mobile phones. They also seized a pistol, two choppers, and three motorcycles, which were reportedly used by the gang during the heist.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Pradip Mallik, Sanjay Mallik, Jayant Rout, Kiran Sethi, Sk Mustakim, Hrushikesh Mallik, and Ramchandra Sahu. The police have filed charges against the accused and are continuing their investigation to explore the possibility of their involvement in other criminal activities.
