The Masab Tank police arrested seven individuals on Tuesday for stealing electronic items from a house at the end of January. The police managed to recover several valuable items, including digital cameras, lenses, and other equipment.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Dasi Vamsi, Md Muzzamil Faraz, M Sathish, Ranit Mallick, Parikhyit Das, Jodigadla Raghu Babu, and Akash Singh.
Masab Tank Inspector, C Parasuram, explained that the theft was orchestrated by the group, who targeted the house of a person with whom one of the suspects had made contact via Instagram. After stealing the equipment, the items were sold to various buyers for a total of Rs 2 lakh.
Following a formal complaint, the police launched an investigation and successfully apprehended the suspects, recovering the stolen equipment in the process.
