Seth Westfall Arrested on Identity Theft, Drug Charges

Lone Tree man held after probation violations

RIVERSIDE, Iowa — A Lone Tree man was arrested Thursday in Riverside on multiple charges, including felony offenses related to identity theft and drug possession.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Seth Westfall on charges of probation violation stemming from original identity theft and second-degree theft cases, both classified as Class D felonies. He also faces a Class D felony charge for possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of prescription drugs, third or subsequent offense, classified as serious misdemeanors.

According to court records, a probation violation report was filed on Oct. 6, 2025, after Westfall was charged in Washington County with new offenses, including domestic abuse assault and impeding airflow. An additional report was submitted on Oct. 23, 2025, following new charges in Johnson County for possession of drug paraphernalia. Authorities allege Westfall was found with a clear glass pipe containing a burnt white crystalline substance during his arrest.

The most recent violation stems from Westfall allegedly absconding from supervision. Court documents state that repeated attempts by a probation officer to contact him were unsuccessful.

Westfall is currently being held at the Washington County Jail. A probation revocation hearing is scheduled for Feb. 4 at the Washington County Courthouse.
