New Delhi, October 17 – A 24-year-old man, Vinit Bhatt, also known as Vicky, was arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch for committing multiple house burglaries in the KM Pur area of South Delhi.

According to DCP (Crime) Aditya Gautam, Bhatt was a seasoned burglar who managed to evade arrest by frequently changing his name, appearance, and residential address. Police revealed he would even grow a beard to alter his looks and remain untraceable.

“Through specific intelligence and technical surveillance, he was finally traced to his hideout in the Bappa Nagar Jhuggies near Tilak Marg,” said DCP Gautam.

Despite his altered appearance, police identified and arrested him without incident.

Investigations revealed that Bhatt had previously worked with an accomplice, and the two turned to theft and burglary to fund their daily expenses. To avoid detection, Bhatt stayed indoors during the daytime and only ventured out at night to commit crimes.

Police confirmed that Vinit Bhatt has seven previous cases of theft and burglary registered against him in the KM Pur and Tilak Marg areas.

He is currently in police custody as further investigations continue.
