LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Two men were arrested Wednesday morning for allegedly stealing cooking oil from several restaurants in London.

Sergio Gonzalez and Richard Delgado were taken into custody following reports of a theft in progress on South Laurel Road near El Pescador. Police received a call reporting that two men were pumping cooking oil from restaurant waste tanks into the back of a box truck.

An investigation revealed that Gonzalez was not authorized to transfer the cooking oil, and the truck used belonged to Delgado as his personal vehicle.

Both men face two counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property valued between $1,000 and $10,000.
