Sergio Gonzales Zarate and Noe Carrillo-Ayala Charged in Tire Fraud

Two arrested for stealing tires using stolen credit cards in Hendersonville

HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. — The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office has charged two individuals in connection with a tire fraud scheme targeting FleetPro Tire Center in Hendersonville.

Employees reported suspicious transactions involving two suspects, prompting an investigation. Detectives discovered that the suspects had fraudulently obtained multiple sets of tires over time, causing significant financial loss to the business.

Warrants reveal the individuals obtained over 16 Nitto tires, each valued between $200 and $400, through stolen credit card transactions.

The suspects were identified as 42-year-old Sergio Gonzales Zarate from Hickory and 27-year-old Noe Adalid Carrillo-Ayala from Gastonia. Both face charges of obtaining property by false pretense and are currently held on $10,000 bond.

The investigation remains active, with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office continuing to pursue leads.
