SENECA FALLS, N.Y. (Seneca Falls Police Department) – A Seneca Falls woman faces multiple charges after being arrested twice this month in separate incidents involving false reports and property damage, according to the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department.
Carly M. Digrande, 29, was arrested most recently on March 21 at 1:43 p.m. and charged with two counts of falsely reporting an incident in the third degree. Police say Digrande made several false reports between March 18 and March 21, including one claiming that a child had been injured during a prior dispute. Additionally, one of the false reports was made to the statewide central register of child abuse and maltreatment.
Digrande was released from custody with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
This arrest follows an earlier incident on March 16 at 4:58 a.m., when police responded to a domestic dispute involving Digrande. Police say she caused property damage inside the victim’s home by pushing several items off a dresser. She also scratched the paint on the victim’s vehicle after leaving the residence. Digrande was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree (a felony), as well as misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief in the fourth degree and criminal tampering in the third degree.
Following her arrest, Digrande was processed and transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center to await arraignment. An order of protection was requested for the victim in connection with that incident.
