Seneca Falls Man Charged with Harassment Following Domestic Dispute

Jose Torres, 64, accused of slapping woman during altercation

Seneca Falls, NY — A 64-year-old Seneca Falls man has been arrested and charged with harassment following a domestic dispute, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.

Jose Torres was taken into custody after police responded to a report of a domestic incident on Wednesday. During the investigation, authorities determined that Torres had allegedly slapped a woman across the face, resulting in pain and visible discoloration.

He was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility and held pending arraignment in CAP Court. Police noted that an Order of Protection was requested on behalf of the victim.

As with all criminal cases, Torres is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
