The Shivaji Nagar Police Station arrested Bahadur Bhogta (30), a security guard from Jharkhand, for allegedly stealing valuables worth Rs15.50 lakh from a bungalow in Madhavbaug, Kalyan West.
Incident Details
The victim, a 72-year-old woman, discovered that gold, cash, and sarees were missing over a period from June 2024 to February 3, 2026. Police said Bhogta and his associates abused their access to the bungalow to carry out the thefts.
Investigation and Status
After the woman reported the matter on February 20, 2026, a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered. Bhogta was apprehended, while three of his accomplices, including a woman, are still at large.
