Cheyenne Man Tased, Arrested While Fleeing on Felony Warrants
CHEYENNE, WY – A wanted Cheyenne man is now in custody after attempting to flee from a Laramie County Sheriff’s detective during a warrant arrest.
According to a booking report, 27-year-old Sebastian Michael Moore was arrested at 3:04 p.m. on Monday, June 9, in the 500 block of Williams Street.
Authorities say Moore ran into his residence as a detective tried to serve multiple outstanding felony warrants. After refusing to comply with verbal commands to stop, Moore was tased and taken into custody without further resistance.
Moore was wanted for several serious offenses, including:
Strangulation of a household member – a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison
Domestic battery with two or more prior convictions in the past 10 years – also a felony carrying up to 10 years and a $10,000 fine
Misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in pill or capsule form
Additionally, Moore had an active warrant from Laramie County District Court for failure to comply with a previous domestic battery – third offense charge.
He remains in custody as the legal process moves forward.
