Two men from Missouri were arrested in Clay County, Arkansas after deputies caught them loading a pickup truck onto a trailer at a property where stolen antique car parts had been reported.
According to Clay County Sheriff Ronnie Cole, deputies received a call around 9 a.m. on March 8 from Dannie Hopkins at 3811 County Road 431 reporting stolen property. Hopkins showed deputies where antique car frames and other parts had been taken and noted that an RV and a white Cadillac had been seen at the property.
Later that afternoon, around 2:24 p.m., authorities received another report that the RV had returned. When a deputy arrived, the two men were caught loading a pickup truck onto a trailer.
The suspects, Sean Gregory Gilihan, 37, and Jeremy John Arnold, 47, both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, were arrested at the scene and transported to the Clay County Detention Center.
They were booked on charges of theft of property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $5,000 and criminal trespassing. Authorities reminded that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
