ORLANDO — Orlando Police Department officers arrested a man claiming to be a mail carrier after he was caught stealing mail from multiple apartment complexes.
The incident occurred at the Aria Beach Apartments on South Semoran Boulevard, where residents reported a male breaking into a community mailbox. Upon arrival, officers apprehended the suspect in the act, noting he had neither a postal uniform nor a delivery truck.
Authorities identified the man as Sean Cronin, who was found in possession of burglary tools and a large amount of stolen mail from various apartment complexes in the area.
Cronin was charged with Grand Theft, Loitering and Prowling, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of Personal Identification Information. Law enforcement confirmed that the investigation into the full scope of his activities is ongoing.
Police emphasized the importance of residents reporting suspicious activity and safeguarding personal mail and identification documents.
