Savannah Woman and Hardeeville Man Arrested After Traffic Stop

Port Royal PD Seize Marijuana, Fentanyl, and Firearm in Arrest

Port Royal, S.C. – Port Royal Police arrested a 40-year-old woman from Savannah and a 44-year-old man from Hardeeville following a traffic stop near Parker’s on 12 Savannah Highway on January 25, 2025.

The woman, Rosalie Ann Mossholder, was charged with driving under suspension, driving under the influence, and having a license not suspended for DUI. The passenger, Joseph Leonard Orr, was arrested for fleeing to evade arrest and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

The traffic stop occurred just after 9 p.m., and officers reported smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle. Orr attempted to flee on foot, but he was quickly apprehended.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered a half pound of marijuana and an unidentified pink powder, suspected to be fentanyl. They also found a firearm. This marks the third drug-related arrest by Port Royal Police following a traffic stop since December 2024.
