Saundarya Yogi Held in Guwahati Car Theft Fraud Case

Accused Rented Vehicles and Sold Them Illegally

by Ananya Mehta

In a significant breakthrough, Dispur Police in Guwahati have busted a major car theft racket with the arrest of Saundarya Yogi, a resident of Panjabari. Yogi is accused of fraudulently renting cars and then selling them to unsuspecting buyers.

The arrest came following multiple complaints from car owners who had been duped by Yogi’s scheme. In one of the recent cases, he allegedly sold a vehicle that belonged to a Guwahati-based car dealer under false pretenses.

Police confirmed Yogi was taken into custody on Monday and is being questioned regarding his involvement in other similar fraud cases. Authorities are also tracking down potential accomplices and buyers of the fraudulently sold vehicles.

Dispur Police have urged car rental agencies and individual vehicle owners to verify customer backgrounds and report suspicious activities promptly.
