The duo was found in possession of a significant quantity of poppy husk, a banned substance under the NDPS Act. Their vehicle, which was used in the transportation of the contraband, has also been impounded.
SHO Sharma confirmed that a case has been registered, and both accused are currently in police custody. Investigators are actively working to identify other members of the drug network and trace the source of the narcotics.
“We are committed to dismantling every link in the chain of drug trafficking and ensuring those involved are brought to justice,” said SHO Abhishek Sharma.
Further investigation is underway to determine the full scope of the operation and any connections to larger trafficking syndicates in the region.
